Fundraising for Hawker School
The P&C partner with the school in several fundraising events over the year. Through these fundraising events, we raise over $30,000 annually to contribute directly back into the school and support our children's education. Most recent collaborations have updated computers, provided a multi-purpose sports ground, helped fit out the new school assembly hall with electrical equipment, built shade structures and playground improvements, as well as maintaining our extra-curricular programs, including chess, music and drama. The Autumn Fair is our single largest fundraising event, last year the fete raised over $20,000, thanks to the support from over a hundred local businesses. Please see the information below if you would like to donate - this may be in funds, vouchers, services or products. Your support of Hawker Primary School is very much appreciated. Each business that donates gets a mention of thanks in our newsletter, on our school website and the same list of thanks gets posted around the school on the day of the fete in several locations to advertise and recognise all the businesses that have donated.

The Fete is held annually on the first Sunday of April at the school on Erldunda Circuit, Hawker. Please come along on Sunday April 7th from 10 - 2 for a variety of entertainment from school students and local community groups, second hand stalls, raffles, the silent auction and much more. For 2013 the Fete is going green, with an environmental theme to support sustainable living and the school's commitment to reducing our footprint.
How will the funds raised be used?
The P&C work together with the school to help improve educational facilities where they are needed most. Recent fundraising efforts have focused on the school's environmental program and creating outdoor spaces for learning beyond the classroom. Our small school has limited outside areas, we are aiming to reclaim the internal courtyard space for everyday use.
What is a suitable donation?
HPS greatly value all support from our local business community. Previous donations for the HPS Fete are usually relevant to the type of services the business provides, and range from gift vouchers for the business services, gym memberships varying from 1 - 6 months, vaccinations for pets, food platters, jewellery, family games, camping equipment, artwork and accommodation, just to name a few. The gift of your donation is an opportunity to bring new customers to your business and we appreciate all support. Donations can be used for the silent auction, showbags, lucky dips and raffles.
