Chess

At Hawker School Chess is an integral part of our SHINE Program and is taught across the school K - 6. Chess provides students with the opportunity to develop thinking skills, planning and strategy.

Hawker School has competed successfully in a number of regional chess competitions and recently placed second in the 2011 Open Primary Interschool Championship for Belconnen.
