P&C (Parents & Citizens)
At Hawker School we enjoy high levels of parent involvement and support. Parents are encouraged to participate in their child's education and are always welcome in the school.
The P&C is very active in both fundraising and participation in decision making. The P&C run a fete which is a great fundraiser as well as a wonderful community event.
The school also runs an active volunteer program. Parent and community volunteers contribute to the school in many ways, particularly in the junior home reading program. In addition to these formal avenues for participation, parents are invited to attend functions and special occasions at the school, or just to drop in and be part of our program.
If you would like to be an ongoing volunteer you need to register for a Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP). Please click here to apply.
For any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to email the P&C.
Uniform Shop Forms
Second Hand Uniform Shop
How it will run
Order forms PDF, 116 KB are available on the school website and available at the front office. Completed order forms and a monetary contribution are to be delivered to the front office.
A team of generous volunteers will hand pick your order and return it to the front office to be disseminated to your child’s classroom.
What we need from you
We are seeking donations of good quality uniforms to replenish the stock. Particularly collared t-shirts, pants and jumpers in sizes 4-6, 8-10 and 12-14.
Donated items will be accepted where they are in the colour of Hawker Primary school and showing general wear and tear i.e. missing buttons and loose hems. We will not accept items with stains, large holes or broken zippers. We do not accept hair accessories, tights and hats.
Donations can be delivered to the front office and must attach a completed donation form available on the school website (link) or from the front office. Items will be checked and returned to you if deemed not to meet the ‘accepted’ standard.
If you have uniform items that do not meet the accepted standard, please use other textile recycling options within our community.
